Yoga in Rio

The interest for yoga in Rio is quite big. It´s more an activity for the wealthier. There are quite few options around, in many gyms they offer yoga lessons. I have listed some of the more purely oriented yoga centres below:

Espaço Cultural do Leblon Rua Dias Ferreira 259 cobertura, Leblon map, tel 21 2259-8243. A complete yoga center located in Leblon. Teaches SwáSthya among many other things. Lessons in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.

Bruna Sakanoi Bruna is back in Rio after her teaching work at the Cloud Nine Yoga School in California. She offers Hatha Yoga Classes and also "Deep Stretch & Slow Flow". Classes are weekly or public and also in English. Tel (21) 8899-9642.
