Strip Clubs in Rio de Janeiro

Some words of warning; These places are not like Hooters, the girls in there are definitely working girls. The drinks in there are really expensive and there are stories about spiked drinks and so on. No illussions.

Discoteqa Help

This is probably the most internationally known club in Rio, it has long ago stopped being a discothèque, nowadays it is where mostly middle aged to older gringo-men go to search for their lost youth. There are also many other tourists who just go there to have some fun. In front there is always commotion until really late. No shorts are allowed inside.

Barbarella
R. Ministro Viveiros de Castro 24, Copacabana map, tel 2275-7349, everyday 22h/4h. Barbarella is one of the more famous strip clubs in Rio de Janeiro. It´s also one of the more expensive one´s. A few minutes after sitting down by your table you will be accompanied by one or more ladies. These ladies are not there just for smalltalk or watching the show with you... Yes, they are all hookers.

Frank´s Bar
Av. Princesa Isabel 185B, Copacabana map, tel 2275-9398, Mon-Sat 22h/4h. Another classic strip joint where you also will be able to enjoy live sex from a very close distance. Just remember to cover your drink and duck during the finale.

La Cicciolina
Av. Princesa Isabel 185D, Copacabana map, tel 2295-1394, everyday 22h/4h.

New Scotch
Av. Princesa Isabel 7, Copacabana map, tel 2275-5499, everyday 22h/4h.

Scandinávia
Praça Mauá 19A, Centro map, tel 2263-6399, everyday 8h(!)/2h. Despite the name, this is not the place where you will be able to order Swedish meatballs or herrings.
