Sports in Rio; Where and How?

To say that sports in Rio are popular is an understatement. Football, beach volley, running, surfing, climbing and lotīs more is practiced all over. On the beach, in the gyms, in the mountains; Itīs everywhere. But how can you practice these sports? Why the interest?
