Venceslau Brás 215, Botafogo map, tel 2543-1241, 3000p. An arena for bigger names. Site: Canecão HSBC Arena (old Rio Arena) Av. Embaixador Abelardo Bueno, Barra de Tijuca. This arena inaugurated for the 2007 Pan American Games is located quite far from Zona Sul. In order to get here you can either take a cab or catch bus 175 from one of the beach avenues in Copacabana, Ipanema, Botafogo or Flamengo. You jump off on Av. Ayrton Senna. Located just by the arches this venue has many big shows and events as well as cultural activities like a circus school.
