Bom Dia Everyone!
Looks like we’ll have a few days in front of us with rain and lower temperatures, leave your swimwear in the drawer and perhaps go to the cinema?
Recent reports say much what I have concluded before, it is reported that price for real estate is increasing a lot slower than inflation, actually considering the fact that many agents offer price 10-20% below asking price (never happened two years ago), the prices have gone down quite a bit. Bad economy and some returning security issues are the main reasons.
Talking about security, Greg posted something very interesting on my message board, just click here to read the topic where his comment is. He describes his experience of the current security situation in Rio. Very interesting.

The buses that normally would run on Rua Visconde de Pirajá are temporarily running on the beach avenue Vieira Souto, there is no clear available schedule, sometimes there are changes so you have to make sure at the time you want to catch the bus. The next one or two years traffic in the center of Rio will be complicated during rush hours, big constructions in the port area is the reason.
The best nightlife guide in English is The Rio Times Nightlife Guide, just click the link.
Fruits of the week:
Pineapples, mangoes, tangerines, strawberries, peaches and all types of melon should be tasty and affordable this time of the year. Of mangoes, try both Haden and Palmer varieties, in my view they are the best.
