The political and economical situation remains unstable, reports of that the downward spiral has been halted are mixed with predictions that suggest that the problems have not even started yet. It seems more and more that the immediate future for the Brazilian economy is directly depending on how well China will perform. There are signs of weaker economy whenever you open the newspaper, public spending are getting a real overhaul; perhaps the worst part of this is how the number of police on the streets will go down, this will inevitable lead to that crime will grow in several parts of the city.
The second leg of the state cup finals will be played on Sunday the 3rd at 16h in Maracanã stadium, the teams are Vasco da Gama and Botafogo. The game is already sold out. The national league starts in May.
The next one or two years traffic in the center of Rio will be complicated during rush hours, big constructions in the port area are the main reasons. Works on Avenida Brazil will make transport to Ilha Grande and Parati complicated during rush hours.
